After 14 successful years, a championship golf event that attracts thousands from across the country is leaving southern Indiana.

The PGA Tour announced the decision to relocate the season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Championship to Richmond, Virginia, effective with the 2026 tournament schedule.

The Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance was hosted by  Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Indiana from 2019-2023 before coming to French Lick  Resort in 2024. The United Leasing & Finance Championship was a Korn Ferry Tour stop from  2012-18 before transitioning to the season-ending championship site in 2019.

French Lick Resort just wrapped up a successful tournament week hosting the 2025 Korn Ferry  Tour Championship from October 6-11 on the award-winning Pete Dye Course, with this year’s  event including a pair of pro-am events, a charitable auction and a new shootout event for local  high school students.

“French Lick Resort is proud to have hosted the Korn Ferry Tour Championship and contribute  to the event’s success,” said French Lick Resort CEO Chuck Franz. “It has been an honor to be  part of the memorable journey for Korn Ferry Tour players who achieved their professional  dream here at French Lick. We look forward to elevating the game in new ways at our world class golf destination.”

In total, 50 Korn Ferry Tour players earned their PGA Tour cards following the two season ending tournaments at French Lick, including 2025 champion Chandler Blanchet and  2024 winner Braden Thornberry.

The tournament’s charitable arm, Golf Gives Back, continued its mission of community support  in the southern Indiana area. The beneficiary of this year’s event, Building Blocks, received  more than $200,000 to fund early childhood literacy programs. In the 14 years that United  Leasing & Finance sponsored tournaments on the Korn Ferry Tour calendar, $2.8 million was  given to local charities throughout southern Indiana.
