Dow Championship tournament officials announced today that the Dow Championship will be returning to Midland Country Club next year, taking place from September 27–October 3, 2027. Competition will begin on Thursday, September 30.

“The Dow Championship has become one of the most anticipated weeks in the Great Lakes Bay Region, and Dow is proud to have helped build it. This is a signature event in women’s professional sport — one that delivers real value for our community, our partners and our customers. We look forward to welcoming the world’s best players back to Midland,” said Karen S. Carter, Dow Chief Executive Officer.

“The Dow Championship team looks forward to hosting world-class golfers and fans back to Midland Country Club – the perfect setting to enjoy the autumn season in Michigan,” said Carlos Padilla II, Executive Director of the Dow Championship. “We are grateful for the incredible support of our volunteers, sponsors and community partners who make this event possible. We are excited to bring everyone together again for another memorable week.”

The Dow Championship is the only official team event on the LPGA Tour, with 72 two-player teams competing for a $3.3 million purse in 72 holes of foursomes (alternate shot) and four-ball (best ball) formats.

The Dow Championship is committed to supporting the regional economy and nonprofit organizations. Each year, the event contributes an estimated $20 million in economic impact in the Great Lakes Bay Region. Since 2019, the Dow Championship has contributed over $3.5 million to local nonprofits through its charitable giveback program. The tournament also aims to be one of the most sustainable golf events in the world, reinforced through Dow’s role as the Official Sustainability Resource for the LPGA.

The Dow Championship in 2026 featured World No. 1 Nelly Korda, World Golf Hall of Famer Juli Inkster, as well as several former Dow Championship winners. Last year’s champions Gina Kim and Yana Wilson earned the first LPGA Tour wins of their careers at Midland Country Club.

During the 2026 Dow Championship, the nominees for this year’s Dow Impact Award were also announced. The nominees are Brooke Henderson, Danielle Kang, Jeeno Thitikul, and Angel Yin. Kang and Yin competed in the 2026 Dow Championship. The LPGA and Dow created the Impact Award to recognize Tour players for their community involvement, leadership, and commitment to enacting positive change. Fan voting for the 2026 Impact Award Winner will open this fall.
